Four laws of usability

1) The system must present a clear and consistent use model that reflects the tasks for which users are expected to apply it.

2) The response of the system to any given action should be predictable at all times.

3) The user must be presented with all the information they require to perform their task.

4) The user must not be presented with extraneous information.
